FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Dark Arts Potion Bar Southampton

How much does it cost to play a puzzle box and how can I book the tickets?

Prices are from £45 per box for up to 6 people. We have 2 boxes that can be played at the same time.

Bookings can be made through our website, or you can give us a call. Visit our contact page to find out more.

There are times when we have a limited number of game slots available each day for last minute bookings and walk-ins. It is advisable to contact us via phone to make a same day booking.

Can I make a reservation for Drinks?

The Dark Arts Bar currently only takes reservations for our experiences. Cocktail tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Can I make a reservation for Potion Making or buy Potion Making vouchers?

Agatha the Black is currently working on building her new Potion Making experience. We are not able to take any booking at this time but are aiming to release tickets and vouchers in Aug/Sept. We will announce on social media and on our website when these become available.

Are there any age restrictions?
Children under 17 MUST be accompanied by an adult in all experiences on site. Children are welcome at The Dark Arts Bar before 9pm but must be accompanied by an adult over 18 at all times.

When should I arrive for an experience?

We require that the whole team arrives 15 minutes before the game starts for your briefing and introduction.

We are a live entertainment establishment with multiple games per day and as such each game has a specific time slot assigned that you chose when booking.

Please be aware that if you arrive late then the following restriction will apply:

15 minutes past your booking time the Bar Wizards will start your game timer for game duration. You are welcome to play any remaining time once you have completed the waiver and health and safety briefing which is mandatory.

Can I bring my animal familiar? 

We welcome all well behaved familiars before 9pm. 

What happens if I need to cancel or re-book?

We appreciate that sometimes circumstances arise that mean you cannot make your booking. We are happy to re-schedule your booking for you however this is at managements discretion and venue availability.

Bookings can be amended up to 3 working days before the date (10am to 9pm).
 

We do not offer any refunds once a purchase has been made.

Is it possible to access the venue using a wheelchair?

Unfortunatly, we are not a wheelchair-accessible venue.

What if I want to bring extra people to the experience?

You are welcome to bring extra people to join your game or experience. Additional players need be added to your booking and pay the additional player charge in advance by contact us via email or phone!

Please note we cannot allow in more than the maximum number of people stated for each experience (4 for potion making, 6 for box games).

How many people can i bring for Cocktails?

We currently allow groups of up to 8 maximum as walk ins. This is subject to table availability on the day.

Our maximum group size for parties and team building is 10 which must be pre approved in advance with a member of management.
